Staying at Disney

I highly recommend staying on property if at all possible. But if your finding the prices are to high check out this website www.mousesavers.com They give you discount codes for hotels on disney property but not Disney owned at Downtown Disney. We have stayed at the Royal Plaza numerous times and love it. If you are finding that the value resorts are running you more then $68 a night then this is a way better option. Prices at the royal plaza run from 89 and up and offer alot more space then the value resorts. You get 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. If you book a room in the tower you also get a larger roman tub. We have also stayed at Regal Sun I would only recommend it if you can get the rate in the 50's or 60's. It is across the street from Downtown Disney which is great. Sign up for the mousesaver newsletter and they will email you hot deals as well.

Disney Value resorts are great if you are on a budget. Pop Century is the only value resort that i will stay at. Though they are all set up the same. When we stayed at All Star Music it seemed the walls were thinner and the resorts overall were more crowded. Like i said i do not recommend paying more than $68 a night at any of Disney Value resorts its not worth it when you can book at the Royal Plaza for 99 a night and is more on the level of Disneys Deluxe resorts.

Disney Moderate resorts are the nicest for the best price. You get a nice hotel and a great price. IF you are wanting a more laid back, less crowded resort book at port orleans french quarter. Caribbean Beach now offers pirate theme rooms for a slightly higher price ~ I cant wait to check this out soon!!! By far my favorite Moderate resort would be between Port orleans french quarter and the cabins at the wilderness lodge. The cabins offer more space especially if you have a large family. In the bedroom there is a double bed and bunk beds. You also have plenty of room to put a pack in play in as well. You have a decent bathroom, full kitchen and living room. In the living room is also a murphy bed. All moderate resort pools have a waterslide which i find great for the older kids.

I love the Deluxe Resorts just cant afford them all of the time. I recommend if you can splurge occasionally to give one a try. My favorites are Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and the Polynesian. Each offers a different theme that is played out to its fullest. Contemporary is very high class with an excellent view if you get a tower room. Wilderness Lodge is more like a log cabin feel. They also offer rooms with a full size bed and a bunkbed. I just recently saw Disney has discounted the rooms at Wilderness lodge to $179 a night this is a great price for this hotel. They also offer more activities for the kids at the resort and at all deluxe resorts offers a child care drop off in the evening for a price. The Polynesian is my favorite of all Disney resorts. I love the luau, Hawaiian theme. The pool has a huge volcano slide which we have found to be the fastest of Disneys resorts. If you get a magic kingdom view you can also see the fireworks and boat parade from your room. Viewing the fireworks from the beach are also a nice option.

We have only stayed at one of the Disney Vacation club resorts which was Saratoga Springs. Very nice resort but pricey. You can find suites at downtown disney for cheaper. You can sometimes get a discount price and then i recommend it. We generally can only afford the studio but in one of my earlier posts i mentioned we did get upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite at no extra charge!!!! This was so nice. It has a king bed in the bedroom with a jacuzzi tub, a walk in shower, and separate toilet area. A full kitchen and living room with a pull out sleeper sofa.
