I should have fixed that but just turn your computer upside down to read for now!! ha ha
WE Just opened the Park!!Its no big surprise if you know me that one reason we LOVE Disney is something special always happens to us when we are there. Some things were just random but others you can put your self in the spot to get picked.
The most memorable was being picked to open the Magic Kingdom. They picked you up at the train station in an old fire engine and took you to toon town. At toon town you had your own personal meet and greet with all the characters. So cool for once they were waiting on us instead of us waiting to see them. Then we got to sit with Mickey on the train and rode back to the front of the park. We rode in with Mickey and they announced that The Worleys from Orange Park where here with Mickey to open the park. You stood on the platform with Mickey and Minnie as we count down from 10. We threw out the confetti to signal the park was open.
They gave us one free photo of us and mickey and a certificate stating we opened the Magic Kingdom. People through out the stay would stop us and ask if we were the ones who opened the park~~ Like we were someone special ha ha!! So you may be asking how can i get to that? Easy you have to be the first family at the park in the morning. We only by an act of God that day got to the park about 1 1/2 -2hr before the park opened. Make sure you are seen that you weren't their for breakfast but for the park. So you must get there early but oh so worth it.
I once won a contest for a 5 day/night Disney trip. So enter those contests people we know actually do win!!! We got to stay at the Polynesian (my favorite) with a view of the magic kingdom. Since they didn't have to fly us in they gave me a rental van. I also got a goody basket with over $250 worth of merchandise, tickets to the Aloha Luau for 4, and a meet/greet with stitch. We also got 5 day park tickets with park hopper, water parks and Disney Quest.
We have had our room upgraded several times for free. Just ask nicely and you never know. On our Honeymoon they changed us from a woods view to a view of the main courtyard and pool at the Wilderness Lodge. This was a major price upgrade and it was free. Then once we booked a studio at Saratoga Springs. I wanted to make sure we were in one of the buildings closest to DownTown Disney. I guess the lady miss understood what Rob was asking because when we got to the room i was shocked. This is not what we paid for. We were upgraded for free to a one bedroom suite. This is a HUGE difference and can probably never go back to a studio after seeing this though i cant afford the 1 bedroom either.
We were chosen as the family of the day when we stayed at the Contemporary. They gave us complimentary turn down service for our stay (though we were already in bed each night they came) and chocolates. Then we got Dream Fastpass badges when we were at Epcot on another trip. On our honeymoon they put a wedding card and balloons in our room signed by Mickey and Minnie.

How special, Kelly! Disney really is a magical place isn't it? I have really enjoyed reading your posts about Disney...and it has gotten me SO excited about our trip! Yay:) Only 27 hours until we leave!!!
