The Church has left the Building.

Our church is in the beginning process of a great mission project called "The church has left the building." I am sooooooo excited about this and love seeing God already working in this project. The church has felt led by God to build a home for a family who has a special needs child and on their own could not provide a safe, handicapped accessible home. The church will keep the deed for 5 yrs and then it will be given to them.

I keep saying over and over how this is Gods project and not the churches. May he cont. to receive all the glory for what happens. He is not just using members of the church but non members as well. As of now we have had people donate~ the roof, all cabinetry, all appliances, some furniture, and some handicapped accessible bathroom equipment. God is so good.

Just a God story that I wanted to share which was told last night at church. The furniture was donated by a couple who live near Georgia. They had purchased a home in the area for their daughter to live in while she was in college. The daughter has graduated and they no longer are in need of the house so they donated all the furniture that was inside. From what i was told it was all in like new condition. Well we needed a place to store all this furniture that would keep it in good condition. The staff went to the local climate control storage places and told them what they were doing and needed. The people gave the church a huge discount on the 3 months rent. A few days later the church received a letter from the owner of the storage unit that said they would like to donate the storage space for free and for how ever long they needed it. AWESOME!!!!
